On to Phoenix.

Monday on the Sherm’s Plating Road Tour started with an early driver’s meeting. It was going to be a long day as we traveled from Escondido to Phoenix.
Our journey took us up into the mountains east of Escondido. Hot rodder Jim Sheridan had invited us to
his home in Julian for a real ranch breakfast. Jim, his wife Jan and some friends were ready when we arrived. Breakfast for 125 people was ready. The Sheridan homestead was beautiful. The tables were set up and we all enjoyed a great breakfast. Many thanks to everyone who helped make our day start do well.
The next six hours took us down the mountain and east on I-8 and then on I-10 into Phoenix. After checking in at the hotel we all headed to Hot Rods by Dean. Dean Livermore had invited us to visit his shop and enjoy some sandwiches. Dean’s shop is filled with projects in various states of assembly. They are a full service hot rod shop and equipped for complete paint jobs. The team at Dean’s built our 2005 Road Tour ’36 Ford and it has just been announced that they will be building our 2014 Road Tour vehicle. It was a good evening at Hot Rods by Dean. It was a long day but we are still having a ton of fun on the Sherm’s Plating Tour.
