A visit to Customs and Hot Rods of Andice

We were up and rolling early Sunday morning on the Vintage Air Road Tour. Rick Love had mapped out a beautiful route for the drive through the Texas hill country. Our destination was Customs and Hot Rods of Andice located in Andice, Texas. We were greatest by owners Harold and Tracy Chapman and their two sons also shop manager Mike Kaiser, metal craftsman Levi Green and their team of craftsmen.
The projects on display were a testament to the level of quality work that comes out of the shop. We saw a number of F-100 builds in the early stages of construction, a roadster with a V-12 Zephyr flathead in the engine bay and a number of other in process builds. We also got a sneak peak at an amazing project that may just end up on the floor at the Detroit AutoRama. No pictures please but believe me it is going to be worthy of the front row at CoBo.
The second building contained a row of future projects and an amazing row of finished builds. It was a real treat to see Harold and Tracy’s 1933 Ford Roadster “Pretty Penny” that just won the title America’s Most Beautiful Street Rod at Goodguys West Coast Nationals just a few weeks ago.
If the cars were not enough there was also some fantastic Texas BBQ that was enjoyed by everyone. Many thanks to Harold and Tracy Chapman and the Customs and Hot Rods of Andice team for such great hospitality.
