From Customs And Hot Rods of Andice it was a 90 minute drive to the Dr. Pepper Museum in Waco, Texas. Housed in one of the original Dr. Pepper buildings the museum tells the history of the iconic brand. Some of the original production machinery is on display and vintage photos help to show what the early plant looked like . The museum also discusses the devastating tornado that hit Waco in 1953 destroying many of the downtown buildings and damaging the Dr Pepper facilities.
The displays in the museum included a huge collection of early soda bottles of all makes and some vintage soda dispensing machines. There was also a nice gift shop and a functioning soda fountain. Trail Boss Rick Love helped to hand out samples of the popular beverage to the appreciative Road Tourians. It was a fun stop at the Dr Pepper Museum in Waco on Sunday
