It was a great weekend at the NSRA Street Rod Nationals North plus in Kalamazoo, Michigan. After hot weather for the last two weeks on the Road Tours the temperature finally came down a little. Most of us dug out the long pants and jackets for the first time in quite awhile. The Expo Center was packed with both street rods and spectators starting as soon as the gates opened on Friday. The AMSOIL/Street Rodder Road Tour tent was a center of activity all weekend as folks wanted to find out how the summer was going. We were happy to report that all was well and the 1951 Ford had just rolled over 10,000 on our way to the event. On Friday Ross and Anne Nash were presented the Golden Shine Award for keeping their black and white Nomad shining all week on the Shades of the Past Tour. Ross and Anne also won the “Long Distance Award” for their cross country journey from Grants Pass, Oregon to Kalamazoo. The Nationals North plus was a great way to wrap up our week in the Shades of the Past Road Tour.
