Monday Afternoon in Cincinnati

It was an amazing Monday afternoon as the Easy Street Speed and Kustom Tour invaded Cincinnati. After our lunch stop at SoffSeal it was on to Wade Hughes Hot Rods. Wade was the originator of the Ohio Hot Rod Flames and has been a friend for many years. The local rodders were waiting at Wades and we got to see some folks we had not seen in awhile. The sign company that shares the building with Wade even made up Road Tour stickers for everyone on hand.
From Wade Hughes Hot Rods it was a short drive to the Antique Boat Center. The vintage boats on display in their showroom were amazing. The look of a 50′s vintage Chris Craft is enough to make any hot rodders heart race. We also got a chance to see the restoration shop at The Antique Boat Center. The restoration of these beautiful watercraft is every bit as tedious and time consuming as bring a classic auto back to life.
From The Antique Boat Center we headed to Zakira’s Garage. To say that the folks at Zikira’s work on cars would be the understatement of the decade. These craftsmen specialize in recreating, restoring and repairing vintage race cars such as the famous Harry Miller race cars that dominated the sport in the 1930′s. We all were amazed to see the projects on the work tables at Zikira’s Garage. Long time friend Joshua Shaw is part of the team and gave us a tour of their unbelievable facility.
